According to the latest statistics, China¡¯s crude steel production of July 2007 stood at 41,252,300 tons, up 14.5% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 278,912,500 tons, up 18.5%; that of finished steel totaled 47,725,700 tons, up 23.9% and YTD figures totaled 318,689,600 tons, up 24.3%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 245,400 tons, down 3.6% and YTD figures (1,938,400 tons) down 4.6%; rod totaled 3,928,500 tons, up 26.1% and YTD figures (24,396,000 tons) up 13.8%; rebar totaled 8,524,900 tons, up 20.4% and YTD figures (57,026,000 tons) up 16.4%; wire rod totaled 7,033,800 tons, up 12.2% and YTD figures (46,028,900 tons) up 16.5%; heavy plate totaled 1,484,600tons, up 38.5% and YTD figures (9,819,400 tons) up 41.8%; hot rolled sheet totaled 809,200 tons, up 40.8% and YTD figures (5,429,800 tons) up 77.3%; cold rolled sheet totaled 1,261,100 tons, up 7.1% and YTD figures (8,781,600 tons) up 27.8%; galvanized sheet (strip) totaled 1,530,700 tons, up 23.5% and YTD figures (11,745,100 tons) up 60.8%; coating sheet (strip) totaled 252,200 tons, up 12.9% and YTD figures (1,650,800 tons) up 26.8%; electric steel (strip) totaled 352,100 tons, up 28.6% and YTD figures (2,336,500 tons) up 20.9%; seamless pipes totaled 1,662,000tons, up 29.7% and YTD figures (10,588,900 tons) up 24%; welded pipes totaled 2,016,900 tons, up 22.8% and YTD figures (12,743,400 tons) up 11.9% |
